Construction Project Manager, High Rise

Position Overview

Construction Project Manager High-Rise Residential &Commercial required for leading developer/builder for a high rise project in the GTA. This position reports directly to the VP of Construction. Candidates must have five to seven years of project management experience and must have completed at least two project cycles.  In this Position, you will be responsible to:  

  • Responsible to execute project from pre-construction to completion stage.
  • Supervise / Guide Development Coordinator to ensure following tasks / requirements are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.  I.e.
    • Tracking / Ordering / Filing Drawings for the office
    • Record / Prepare / Circulate meeting minutes
    • Scheduling and Follow up reminders for Owner Meetings
    • Complete applications and compile supporting documents for Permit or other Development related tasks.
    • Electronic & Paper filing
    • Maintain Project Contact Lists
    • Track & Follow-up on various items (Quotes / Proposals / Credit Applications)
  • Coordinate permit submission and prepare construction budgets.
  • Assist / Maintain Cash Flow Projections
  • Assist in Liaising & retaining Consultants, trades and site personnel.
  • Solicit & Evaluate & Follow-up on various items (Fee Proposals / Quotes / Credit Applications)
  • Review & Comment on all Documents (from Reports / Drawings / Spec’s / Tender Documents / Contracts /etc.).  Follow-up with Consultants / Trades to ensure all comments are addressed

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management and/or working toward Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • 5-7 years of relevant High-Rise Residential & or Commercial Construction required.
  • Sound understanding of Architectural drawings, scheduling, and contracting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of AUTO CAD, Word and Excel
