Job Description:
Our Client is a leading investment firm seeking to hire a senior executive for the position of Vice President, Mutual Fund Operations.

This individual will be responsible for leading a team of 60 staff in the following key areas: Broker Dealer Relations and Industry Support, Cash Management, Processing Support, Operations Compliance, Transfer Agent Projects and Relationship Management, Workflow Integration and Communication.

The position involves the delivery of exceptional service to customers and to build a team focused on quality and continuous improvement while driving results for the business.


Responsibilities are:

Mitigates risk to the firm, both from a monetary and reputation perspective by ensuring effective controls are in place to minimize risk as a result of processing, reporting and reconciliation; maintenance, testing and implementation of viable business recovery plans; Adherence to industry regulations through the development and execution of appropriate policies and procedures; technology solutions are utilized to reduce risk and automate processes where appropriate
Provides direction and support for all reporting departments to ensure service delivery and standards are met and achieved.

Sponsors/coaches successful and effective completion of initiative delivery

Participates in cross organizational initiatives to support business growth and profit sustainment

Plays a leadership role within the Divisional Management team to support the development and execution of relevant business strategies and people development.

Adds value to the client experience by understanding what's important, recognizing what needs to be done and taking personal accountability for creating a positive client experience.

The ideal candidate will possess: excellent knowledge of the financial services industry, preferably in the fund manufacturing side of the business; demonstrated success managing a large operations division while developing and maintaining strong relationships at multiple levels across the organization and within the industry; the ability to translate strategic views into concrete action items; comprehensive understanding of the link between technology and service delivery and superior leadership skills with a high degree of business acumen while never losing focus on the customer relationship.

The candidate must possess 10 years solid financial services industry and a demonstrated sucess in relationship building within the dealer and advisor community. Experience serving on industry related committees is preferred. University/College degree and completion of the IFIC Operations course are required.
