Bilingual Client Relationship Manager - Investment Industry - Montreal

In this exciting role you will be the face of our client by onboarding new clients, training on processes and procedures, and new products and services providing world class service.  You will work along side Account Managers and implementation and sales teams being a trusted partner facilitating excellent relationships with clients so their business can maximize the value of its relationships. Experience within the clearing industry would be ideal.

  • Performs regular face-to-face client service review meetings (weekly or otherwise agreed) to confirm commitment to delivering the highest level of client satisfaction.
  • Coordinates and ensures client participation in external surveys and incorporates survey results into driving client satisfaction.
  • Develops and executes actions plans to address issues, deliver solutions to improve client satisfaction.
  • Proactive engagement with accounts that have opportunities to grow assets and increase sales.  Close geographical alignment in the region with sales partners is required to increase sales opportunities.
  • Proactively work with clients to identify their needs and priorities and acts as a ' product and service' identifier, finding opportunities to align with the client and coordinate with sales team.
  • Provide training for clients on new and existing products and services to fully utilize our client’ s offering.
  • Provide education and knowledge sharing of our client’ s processes and best practices.
  • Supporting sales team on sales pitches and new business opportunities with platform overviews, including operational processes, online systems, tools and the customer service offering.
  • Onboarding of new Portfolio Manager firms and advisor assets which includes set up from start to finish of a firm or a complete advisor transition.  Fully accountable for the account through implementation stage and post implementation support while ensuring coordination of all internal stakeholders involved in new client transitions.


  • Proven success in establishing exceptional client service and relationships- strong client centric approach in dealing with internal and external clients - leads by example for others. Ability to build credibility and rapport with senior level clients. Ability to influence senior level executives to gain their support for decisions and initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability communicate to all audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Presentation skills - ability to present information to groups with the appropriate level of formality. Ability to present solutions that are on target for clients and motivate them to take action.
  • Broad understanding of the Retail Investment and Portfolio Management landscape, including strong investment product knowledge. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute plans; exceptional ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Ability to work within a quickly changing environment and remain composed under pressure. 
  • Ability to navigate across the organization to get work accomplished.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the team as they arise.
  • Confident at all levels of the business, with senior stakeholders from Sales, Operations and Technology.
  • Flexible approach allowing for changing priorities.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a client relationship or client account role in a front facing role within the financial services industry with a strong understanding of the brokerage and portfolio management industries.
  • Previous experience servicing and building relationships with decision makers and senior level roles.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as required, which could be up to 70 % of the time.
  • Experience with clearing and custody processes and/or brokerage operations.
  • Knowledge of the correspondent clearing landscape in Canada
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required
  • College degree (3-year program) or equivalent work experience.
  • CSC or other financial services designations preferred.
  • Training experience preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
