Client Onboarding Consultant -   Financial Services

In this exciting new role you will be part of the business integration team.  You will have the critically important role of assisting new advisors to transfer their accounts and business to our client’ s platform.  You will co-ordinate the efforts required for a bulk transfer and assist advisors/correspondent firms to reach maximum productivity quickly and with minimal disruption to clients.

This role will also be responsible for ensuring that clients are fully educated on our client’ s products, services and operational procedures and also undertake training efforts for their client   base onsite and at the client site. The role will also facilitate onboarding of our client’ s PM clients.

This job requires flexible working conditions- travel is required, including some weekend travel.

Job Description
  • Manage and take the lead on new client business transitions (new branches/advisors) to ensure a smooth and seamless process for clients, and internal and external business partners.
  • Work closely and coordinates with internal operational teams and advisor field branches to complete transition of new business to our client.
  • Assist clients' new advisors/branches with account opening coordination and transfer of asset coordination.
  • Maintain an implementation checklist and schedule to map out requirements.
  • Prepare progress report/transition summaries.
  • Provide account opening and account transfer support for the advisors and branches
  • Ensure IB and PM clients are full educated on how to use our client’ s products, services, tools and operational procedures. This includes education and training of clients during onboarding and with new products, services and tools.
  • Take the lead role in training activities which includes:
  • Creation of reference materials would could include e-learning, policies and procedures, user guides, workflows and presentations
  • Make recommendations to clients for best practices and additional product utilization
  • Provide management with a written training plan, training agenda, daily log, post-event write-up and survey distributions for the various events (onboarding, conversions etc.) Responsible for the end to end process once the PM is transitioned from Sales; Engage all stakeholders in the process while clearly defining the timeframes both internally and externally
  • Follow a defined process/checklist to prepare the environment set up of the new PM.
  • Set expectations with all parties involved.
  • Track tasks and ensure deadlines are met through the process to ensure a smooth transition experience for the PM.
  • Ensure a proper handoff is done to the Client Experience team

Qualifications
  • More than 5 years’ experience in a client account management role and/or training role within the brokerage and/or securities industry-This is mandatory
  • Proven project management experience
  • Experience communicating with executive level clients and senior level managers
  • 3 year post-secondary education completed
  • Enrolment in or completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Enrolment in or completion of a certificate in Training/Adult Education is an asset
  • Understanding of summarization and simplification techniques; ability to explain complex technical concepts and details in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience
  • Superior service and consultative skills
  • Strong communicator - written and verbal presentation skills

  • Builds strong trusting relationships quickly
  • Adaptable to change; flexible
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to represent our client across all levels including C-level
  • Extreme professionalism is required
  • Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
