Corporate Finance Manager, CPA Designated or in the process of being designated.

In this exciting newly created role reporting to the Vice President you will use your strong background in reporting and analysis  to support business units and provide decision support to senior level executives.  You will be part of an exciting new finance transformation project system implementation providing guidance and change management support to internal stakeholders, while leading the finance team and providing oversight to the reporting framework.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a reporting role in the financial services industry with strong influencing skills, project management/implementation skills, and excellent communication and presentation skills. 

 

Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for leading the business unit support scorecard process which requires working with the teams and business analytics partners to produce meaningful scorecards on a     monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Identify and deliver finance system process improvement opportunities through review of the accounting and finance processes and implement best practices to drive efficiencies:
  • Assess downstream finance system and model implications and address process changes that may be required
  • The individual may be required to lead a team to process changes to underlying systems or may be asked to initiate the change (i.e. create new reports or models).
  • Identify areas throughout the organization that are impacted by changes to the core finance platform.
  • Work with the core implementation team to understand the proposed process and systematic changes.
  • Co-ordinate and execute the User Acceptance Testing strategy for the new system
  • Develop appropriate training for the new system in coordination with the Learning and Development team
  • Create appropriate documentation of new processes within the new finance system to accommodate internal and external audit requirements
  • Ensure analysis provided to senior management is actionable and helps drive business decisions. This analysis must be timely, carefully balancing the need for additional detail and the timely delivery of the information
