Content Document Website Specialist / Non Profit Top Toronto Employer

Our client, a downtown non profit association and a top Toronto Employer has created a new Content Document Specialist role in the Corporate Services division. This Document Specialist will be responsible for editing, designing and then ensuring that these applications, online fillable forms, documents posted on the external website and annual report pdf templates are designed to meet corporate specifications. You will oversee, lead and coordinate the resolution of concerns relating to the accessibility of documents by the public ,deliver coaching and training to internal departments and finally act as a resource relating to document design and management.


  • A university degree (preferred) or college diploma in English, Communications, Business Administration or a related field with experience in Web-based Accessibility Standards.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience, preferably in a legal or regulatory environment, which includes responsibility for varied written communications, knowledge of best practices related to document accessibility, and demonstrated experience dealing with accessibility features of current software and tools.
  • Ability to plan and conduct online and paper file historical searches across multiple databases
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices for creating accessible documents (such as styles, tags, bookmarks, alternate text and tooltips).
  • Advanced skills in Adobe PRO, including the ability to create fillable forms, run accessibility checks and fix accessibility issues.
  • Proficiency in content management platforms (such as SharePoint), .
  • Experience with CMS software use.

Salary Range: 65-72k Plus Pension Plan Plus 3 Weeks Vacation

Salary: $65,000.00 to $72,000.00 /year
