One of our top clients is looking for Senior Data Analyst and Report Designer. They  will use their statistical and analytical expertise and  knowledge of specialized reporting tools to examine and evaluate data stored in various database structures, to project trends and set goals/targets for key regulatory indicators, to evaluate reporting requirements and analyze performance results for the various business units and to design reporting structures as required.  The Senior Data Analyst will be  responsible for recommending improvements to, or new requirements for, business processes, operational procedures and their corresponding structures and for overseeing the response to routine requests for statistical information by other Case Management Department.

Must Have

Statistician  role is critical. He\she must have statistical knowledge to be able to look at the stats of the work of the Division and be able to extrapolate trends which will impact Divisional goals.  Examples are target case completion times, realistic volumes of work. Senior Data Analyst will also perform analysis of complaints that come  in.

Qualifications
  • A university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analysis or a related discipline, coupled with relevant, ongoing education in project management, designing and programming and business processes.
  • He\she should have specialized expertise in statistics, data management, report design, data analysis, project management, capturing and documenting business requirements, and managing relationships between development and the various business units.  He\she is required to have 5 to 7 years’ progressive experience in the field of reporting and data analysis, plus 2 or more years’ business analyst and project leadership experience using best practices and project management techniques to deliver value added solutions, in an AS400 DB2, and Microsoft environment. 
  • Knowledge / experience in statistical analysis, AS/400 and/or Microsoft/Novell platforms, and leveraging same to meet business unit needs.
  • Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling.
  • Build reports in Crystal Reports. Must have DB2/SQL Server experience. Must have experience with relational databases.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including Microsoft Project. 
  • Proven experience with reporting data analytical and data mining tools, including Crystal Reports and IBM reporting tools. 
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as Java and HTML, combined with Microsoft SQL Server, would be an asset.
  • Considerable exposure to the operation and analysis of IBM and Microsoft relational database software and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies. 
  • Relevant practical experience in project management, statistics, designing and programming
  • Strong understanding of performance measures, cost/benefit analysis and ROI.
