Banking - Account Administrator

A leading global investment firm is hiring a team of recent graduates to support their dedicated teams within the Back Office and Banking & Accounts functions.

Duties:
• These roles are responsible for day to day back-office administration tasks which may include:
• Banking duties (EFT, wires, resolution of payment issues with financial institutions, Interfund cash and position transfers)
• Trade input and journal entries, and other trade related administrative tasks
• Tracking payments and processing client account updates and related tasks
• Flattening requests, RIF updates
• Assumption letter preparations
• Year End 71 Rollovers, Year End MIN & MAX check
• Registered accounts Processing (includes RESP, RDSP etc.)
• Follow up of asset transfers
• RESP Withdrawal Processing (EAP, PSE, NCW, AIP) and generating RESP Breakdown
• Filing for QESI, adult CLB, BCTESG
• Investigations on grants
• Unlocking of locked-in accounts (LIRA, LRSP, LIF etc.)
• Sign offs of locked in agreement for TFI
• Estate Settlements
• EFT Out Booking
• Cheque withdrawal booking
• Pending Close/Freeze account and balances write-offs
• GIC orders
• Bond trade booking (set up bond + trade booking) as well as same day trade booking
• Book Value Update, Security write off (LOD), Security movements and internal transfers

Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar role or within the financial services industry.
• Previous experience in the Mutual Fund industry and/or customer service role is preferred
• Post-secondary education
• Knowledge of Back Office functions
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work efficiently and independently to meet daily deadlines
• Detailed-oriented, extremely self-motivated and dedicated, and a good team player
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Ability to thrive in a growing/dynamic environment
• Canadian Securities Course, IFIC, PFP and other industry courses would be an asset
• Comfort in using and learning new software systems.

Hybrid - Downtown Toronto
Long term temporary with possibility of extension or permanent
Monday - Friday
8:30am-5:00pm
$21/hour
