Job Description

Our client, a prestigious professional regulator is searching for a licensed Counsel to provide high level support to the Office of the Complaints Resolution Commissioner. You will report directly to the Commissioner and  provide legal expertise, process analysis in the review and resolution of concerns raised by complainants, respecting decisions the association has made to close a complaint file without taking further action. You will research, review, analyze, and summarize complaint files, evidence and related materials prior to complaints review. Provide subject matter expertise regarding Rules of Professional Conduct,  and procedures for the complaints review and resolution processes, draft correspondence  and memoranda on behalf of the Commissioner and attend post-review meetings. 
This role requires very strong writing skills and will be evaluated during the  interview process. 

 Salary Range 115-126k Plus 4 Weeks Vacation Plus Pension Plan.

Monday to Friday  9 to 5  Hybrid Work model

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
 
  • An LL.B. and membership in good standing with the Law Society.*
  • A minimum of 7 years' related post-call experience in private practice and/or legal experience in administrative law with a regulatory body or government environment.
