Type: Full-time, Hybrid 2 days onsite

The Opportunity
Due to a retirement, a leading Canadian investment management firm is seeking a Vice President, Institutional Sales to drive new business growth across Western Ontario and Western Canada.. This senior sales role is hoping for an individual with existing institutional client relationships and a proven track record in sales. You will focus on expanding market share and building long-term relationships with institutional clients, consultants, and plan sponsors.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive funded new business and exceed annual sales targets
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies
- Identify, qualify, and close institutional sales opportunities
- Build senior-level relationships with plan sponsors and consultants
- Articulate a compelling institutional value proposition
- Negotiate contracts and partner closely with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of experience in institutional investment management
- Proven success in senior-level, relationship-driven sales roles
- Deep knowledge of institutional investments, pensions, and the Canadian market
- Strong strategic, communication, and negotiation skills
- University degree required; CFA, MBA, or similar designations are assets
