Human Resources Manager / Professional Services Leader

Our client, a leader in the construction industry located in midtown  is searching for an experienced  stand alone Human Resources Manager.  You will be replacing someone after 13 years and will oversee all  HR functions for an office of 120 employees. 

Reporting directly to the President you will manage the following  key responsibilities:
  • Full recruitment cycle
  • Health and Safety
  • Developing  and/or updating policies and procedures, and interpreting HR legislation
  • Managing Group Benefits and Group RRSP/DPSP programs
  • Assisting staff with answering questions and resolving employee issues
  • Annual performance reviews
  • Managing  the full appraisal cycle
  • Providing  advice to executives and management on strategies for managing performers at all levels

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience overseeing human resources functions, ideally within construction  or a professional services firm. A stand alone HR position is preferred.
  • Post-Secondary Degree with a focus in Human Resources
  • Professional HR designation preferred (CHRL)
  • Must have experience with Benefits and Pension Administration
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to assess situations from not only an HR perspective, but also from a business perspective
  • Strong leadership, facilitation  and consensus  building skills
