Senior Legal Assistant, Employment and Labour Law

Our client, a leading law firm located in downtown Toronto is looking for a Legal Assistant who brings their expertise in the areas of Employment and Labour law. This is a critical role supporting  the Department Chair who runs a very busy practice.  His team works very cohesively and are looking for a new member to join the team due to a retirement.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Employment and Labour law
  • Completion of a Community College in a Legal Secretarial program preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Helping manage the LP’s Inbox and Calendar.
Coordinating document workflow including drafting, formatting, finalizing and distributing documents, correspondence and materials.
  • Managing new file setup, including preparing, gathering and researching information for client intake process, workspace management, creating and managing files in document management system.
  • Serving as point of contact with clients and various internal and external stakeholders to provide assistance and information as required.
  • Providing administrative assistance and coordinating the logistics of client meetings, making travel and hospitality arrangements as required.
  • Supporting client development activities, such as managing LPs’ bios, entering/updating information into client relationship database.
  • Independently performing client account management
  • Receiving, researching, and preparing for and follows up on audit inquiries.
Salary:
Up to 72,000 depending on years of experience Plus Bonus, Attractive Benefit Package Plus Perks
 Hybrid Work Model ( 3 days a week in the office)
